We are pleased to announce the arrival of Marie Cormier as our new Associate in Commercial and Private International Law.
Marie is qualified in French law (Attorney-at-Law, Paris Bar) and graduated from Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne University in public business law and Sciences-Po Paris’s Master’s program in business law.
She specializes in Commercial Law, covering all aspects of business relationships. Marie’s expertise includes contract drafting and negotiation, providing clients with comprehensive legal support and strategic guidance. She also helps with their expansion into the Asian market, safeguarding their commercial interests and intellectual property rights.
Before joining LPA Singapore, Marie served for several years as Group General Counsel for a pharmaceutical company, gaining extensive international experience through managing its affiliates and a diverse network of distributors. In this role, she honed her skills in M&A and commercial matters, including licensing-in and licensing-out agreements, as well as strategic partnerships involving innovation, know-how, and technology transfer. Prior to that, she worked as an in-house lawyer for a building and civil engineering company, where she practiced both public and private business law.
Marie is fluent in French and English.
