Selma Korichi advises Singaporean and foreign clients from different sectors in cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, financing operations, restructurings as well as their commercial matters to develop and protect at best their businesses in the ASEAN region. Her experience also extends to negotiating the resolution of commercial disputes and identifying efficient legal solutions in challenging situations using strategic thinking and advocacy skills.
Selma has an interesting combination of common law and civil law backgrounds, as well as a combination of both business and legal training. She is qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in addition to her qualification as an Attorney-At-Law with the Paris Bar. She also diversified and reinforced her professional skills by completing an LL.M in International Business Law with Sorbonne-Assas International Law School (Singapore) and a Business Foundation Certificate with INSEAD, which allows her to deeply understand her clients’ commercial drivers to provide a fit-for-purpose legal advice. Before joining LPA, Selma trained with Bird & Bird and worked with a Singapore law firm focused in assisting emerging growth companies and innovative start-ups.
Aside from her work with LPA, Selma volunteers with TrustLaw (Thomson Reuters’ Pro Bono platform) in projects relating to women’s rights and is involved in a mentoring program for girls at risk in Singapore.
